VOLUNTEER MEETINGS

All three team volunteers will need to attend one mandatory volunteer session (approximately 45 min.) to recieve specific instructions, ask questions, and pick up their volunteer shirts.  All three volunteers do not need to attend together.

WHEN: Choice of Saturday 8/14, two weeks before race date, anytime between 9am-11:30am, or the following Wednesday 8/18, between 6pm-7:30pm. Plan on no more than an hour to check in, be trained, pick up your t-shirt, and sign off.

DIRECTIONS: (to be announced)

WHY: To give updated information; ensure effective training and safety of each volunteer; to meet exchange captains and support personnel; to clarify volunteer assignments and get directions (even arrange carpool); to pick up t-shirt; AND to ensure the team is not disqualified.

WHO: ALL three (3) of your teams' volunteers must attend to prevent disqualification! This is important even if they've volunteered before.  Regulations change and are always being added!

WHAT IF: A volunteer is not available for either session (due to vacation, illness, etc.)?  Someone can go in their place, check in for them, but not change the name.  One person cannot go in place of two or three volunteers.

Volunteer assignments are received via logging onto the Online Roster (once an assignment request has been accepted within the system, the volunteer will be notified via email). Volunteers are assigned on a "first come first serve" basis.
