All three team
volunteers will need to attend one of the mandatory volunteer
sessions (approximately 30 min.) to recieve specific
instructions, get driving directions, ask questions, and pick up their
volunteer shirts. All three volunteers do not need to attend together.
WHEN: Choice of Saturday 8/11, anytime between 9am-11:30am (11:00am for Exchange Leaders) --or-- Wednesday 8/15, anytime between 5:00pm-7:30pm (7:00pm for Exchange Leaders).
Plan on no more
than an hour to check in, be trained, pick up your t-shirt, and sign off.

WHY: To give updated information; ensure effective training and safety of each volunteer; to meet Course Coordinators and support personnel; to clarify volunteer assignments and get directions, to pick up Race Official shirt, AND to ensure the team is not disqualified.
WHO: ALL
three (3) of your teams' volunteers must
attend to prevent disqualification! This is important even if they've volunteered
before. Regulations and the race course do change!
WHAT IF: A volunteer absolutely isn't able to attend either session (due to vacation, illness, etc.)? An alternate may go in their place, check in and take the training, (BUT be sure to pass along all training info, materials, and shirt)! One person/Team Captain cannot go in place of two or three volunteers.
Volunteer
jobs are selected via logging onto the roster (once a job request has been accepted within the system, the volunteer will be notified via email).
Volunteers are assigned
on a "first come first serve" basis. |
